TopLift 2026: vote for SOMALEV before 3 November
The dismantling of two STS cranes at the port of Casablanca is Entry 6 of the TopLift 2026 Awards. Voting is open until 3 November 2026.
SOMALEV is one of the ten finalists of the TopLift 2026 Awards organised by International Cranes and Specialized Transport (KHL). Our entry, number 6, "Dismantling in Casablanca", covers the controlled dismantling of two ship-to-shore container cranes for Marsa Maroc, while the terminal kept operating.
The operation used a Liebherr LTM 1400-7.1 and an LTM 1250/1, alone or in tandem, to remove 1,400 tonnes of steel with lifts up to 70 metres, between November and December 2025.
